Guests will take a trip to the top of the world, high above the clouds on the famous Table Mountain. Seal Island Cruise      

 

Sail with the original Seal Island cruise operator from Hout Bay to the magnificent Duiker Island. Duiker Island is home to a colony of thousands of Cape fur seals that you can view up close on this tour. Circe Launches qualified and experienced crew enable visitors to get within just feet of the island, allowing for intimate views of the seals in their natural habitat. The island, located in Hout Bay just outside of Cape Town, is beaming with life including hundreds of seabirds, as well as magnificent kelp forests indigenous to the region.

 

Chapmans Peak Drive             

Chapmans Peak Drive on the Atlantic Coast between Hout Bay and Noordhoek in the Cape Peninsula is one of the most spectacular marine drives in the world. Chapmans Peak Drive is affectionately known as Chappies and is a must for anyone who is passionate about the majestic scenery of Cape Town. Initially constructed during the First World War, this 9km route with its 114 curves, skirts Chapmans Peak, the 593m high southerly extension of Constantia Berg, and follows the rocky coastline to unfold breath taking views in both directions. The route starts at the picturesque fishing harbour of Hout Bay and the climb winds steeply up to Chapmans Point, revealing breath taking views of the sandy bays

 

down below, until the road reaches lower levels again at Noordhoek.

 

Cape of Good Hope (Cape Point) - Entrance Fee

So named by Portugal's King John II this area has captured the imagination of European sailors such as Dias who first named it the Cape of Storms in 1488 and later in 1580 Sir Francis Drake who called it the "The Fairest Cape in all the World". Rich in cultural and natural heritage this is one of the top tourist destinations in South Africa. Due to the variety of wildlife that occurs here it is the only section that is fenced and visitors should look out for Eland, Red Hartebeest, Be sure to visit the Buffelsfontein Visitor Centre that showcases all the plants and animals to look out for in a particular season and is full of informative signage. At the point, visitors are treated to excellent viewing opportunities from both lighthouses that adorn the most south western point in Africa, one still fully functional. The lighthouse is accessible by foot or one can

 

catch the Flying Dutchman funicular to the top. Bontebok and Zebra.

 

Cape Point - Funicular (Return)           

Apart from offering visitors an exciting and novel method of travel, taking the Flying Dutchman funicular saves visitors an uphill walk from the car park to see the old lighthouse and enjoy the panoramic views. The Flying Dutchman Funicular, also known as the Cape Point Funicular, is a funicular railway located at Cape Point. Its the only commercial funicular of its type in Africa, and takes its name from the local legend of the Flying Dutchman ghost ship. The line runs from a lower station at the Cape Point car park, up an incline through dense fynbos to the upper lighthouse. The funicular leaves from the lower station every three minutes, comfortably accommodates 40 passengers per car, and can

 

transport 450 persons to the upper lighthouse per hour, making it the ideal way to whisk closer to the lighthouse even during peak times

 

Boulders Penguin Colony -

 

Located on the Cape Peninsula, in Simon's Town, a suburb of Cape Town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is also commonly known as Boulders Bay. It is a popular tourist spot because of a colony of African penguins which settled there in 1982.

Day 4 Cape Town - Shark Cage Tour

White Shark Encounter          

         Pickup & Scenic transfer.

 

Between 06:00 am and 10:00 am, depending on what weather conditions are for that day, a representative from White Shark Projects will collect guests from their accommodation. This can be from any location in Cape Town or Hermanus and surrounding areas. Guests will then be driven to the luxury Ocean View Headquarters in Kleinbaai.

 

Breakfast & Lunch.

The continental breakfast consists of yogurt, toast, muffins, eggs, cheese, fruit, and a selection of hot and cold drinks. On the return to dry land, guests are invited to join for coffee / tea and homemade vegetable soup and toast sandwiches. Other diets can be catered for on request.

 

 

Day at Sea

 

Before going on the boat a Marine Guide or biologist will give a safety briefing and explain how the cage-diving works. Once at sea, the Marine Biologist and skipper will give a talk on the sharks and other marine life guests will observe. They will explain how we work with the sharks in the area and prepare guests for the dive. Guests will spend 2 to 4 hours at sea, depending on the shark activity and how quickly they come to the boat. Be sure to ask many questions Snacks, water & towels are provided.

 

After the trip

 

Once guests arrive back on shore, they will return to the lodge, which is just a short walk 30 seconds from the harbor. Luxury shower facilities and a powder room with a hairdryer are offered, so guests can have a warm shower and be sorted for the rest of the day. Guests will then be offered a light lunch and sit down to watch the movie of the day trip. They will then receive a de-brief from the marine guide biologist about what they saw on the trip and some educational information.

 

No diving experience is necessary - we use a natural breath-hold system.

Sun Protection – sunscreen, hat, sunglasses Anti-Seasick tablets are strongly recommended. A warm jacket and sensible shoes.

Africa beckons with a safari experience at Aquila Game Reserve. This pristine African wilderness has the coveted Big Five - lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant. It provides awe to inspiring encounters with these magnificent beasts. On this full day morning safari, you will be in time to catch the wildlife as they begin to stir for the day and after a hearty breakfast. You will traverse this landscape with passionate guides who will impart a great deal of their knowledge about the wildlife, the area and the conservation efforts as well as community upliftment that the reserve is involved in. Guests proceed along the Golden Mile, the Durban beachfront, with its golden beaches and the longest uninterrupted waterfront promenade in Sub-Saharan Africa. Get a glimpse of the beach lifestyle that Durban is famous for, walking on the beach, swimming, cycling, surfing.

 

 At the Southern end of the beachfront guests drive past the uShaka Marine World aquarium and through the new Point road development to see the exciting regeneration of the more run down areas of the city centre next to the harbour. Durban harbour is the fourth busiest container port in the Southern Hemisphere and the lifeblood of the city.

Guests will then make their way into the hustle and bustle of the city centre with its art deco buildings, the Victorian old Post Office and the Neo-Baroque style City Hall. It is here where the multicultural nature of Durban really becomes evident, informal roadside sellers, the splendid Juma Masjid Mosque, Hindu temples, the Emanuel Cathedral and the Victoria Street market renowned for its fragrant spices and curios. After a visit to the tranquillity of the Durban Botanic Gardens, the oldest surviving botanical gardens in Africa established in 1849.

Guests continue via some beautiful panoramic views over the city, and conclude the tour with a stop at the Moses Mabhida football stadium which was built for the Football World Cup in 2010.
